About Artichoke Music
Artichoke Music has been a cornerstone of Portland's acoustic music community since 1973. This nonprofit community music center provides a welcoming space for musicians of all ages and abilities to discover learn and perform music.
Music Programming
The venue hosts live music Thursday through Sunday nights featuring acoustic folk Americana blues and jazz performances. Their intimate 50-person capacity creates an exceptional listening room atmosphere where audiences give performers their full attention.
Open Mic and Jam Sessions
Artichoke regularly hosts open mic nights including the Acoustic Village Open Mic and specialized sessions like Be Heard - An Open Mic for Women's Voices. The Portland Bluegrass Sunday Jam is a beloved tradition occurring on the 2nd and 4th Sundays with a $5 cover at the door.
Educational Mission
As a nonprofit organization Artichoke is dedicated to building community through music. They offer music classes workshops and provide a supportive environment for musicians to develop their craft and connect with fellow artists.
