Hal & Mal's Red Room

Hal & Mal's Red Room hosts this weekly blues jam every Monday night. The venue is a Jackson landmark that has been serving the community since 1985. The Red Room is one of multiple music spaces within the historic GM&O freight depot building.

Event Details

The event features a Front Porch acoustic hour from 7:15-8:15 PM followed by the Blue Monday Band performing from 8:30-11 PM. Admission is $5 at the door ($3 for CMBS members). Free parking available. Cash bar and blues menu offered.

Hal & Mal's features live music in multiple rooms throughout the week including Tuesday Night Jazz with the Raphael Semmes Quartet in the Dining Room and various national touring acts in the Red Room and Big Room. The venue also hosts weekly trivia nights and karaoke events.
