Veet's Bar - Downtown Mobile Music Venue

Veet's Bar has been a beloved fixture in downtown Mobile since February 1998 serving as a home for musicians near and far. Located in a historic brick building on Royal Street on Mobile's famous Mardi Gras route this venue has become legendary in the Gulf Coast music scene.

Live Music Schedule and Events

Veet's hosts live music Wednesday through Saturday nights with Wednesdays reserved for open mic and residencies Thursday for acoustic acts and Fridays and Saturdays for full bands. Karaoke happens on Tuesdays with Joe providing a fun atmosphere. The venue is smoke-free and 21+ only.

House Band and Artists

The Veet's bandstand is home to one of Mobile's finest house bands Doug Previto & The Family Jewels. The members including Daryl Huffman Gary Turk and Joe Anderson are accomplished musicians who have individually performed throughout the country and produced recordings with nationally known acts. The band performs live every Friday and Saturday.

Music Genres

Music genres include acoustic blues country funk rock rhythm and blues and soul. Veet's prides itself as THE PLACE in Mobile for national artists to visit and jam with local talent creating unique collaborative performances.

Venue Features

The historic building contains a 200+ capacity dance hall with a professional stage sound system and lighting. The venue features a long main bar and side bar creating multiple areas for guests. While Veet's does not serve food a neighboring restaurant offers greasy spoon fare that will be delivered to the venue.
