About The Trough
The Trough opened in June 2015 as part of The Olde Dairy and The Trough complex bringing a community-oriented restaurant and market to the Target Range neighborhood. This converted historic dairy building has been beautifully renovated into a modern gathering space while maintaining rustic charm.
Community Mission
With the community in mind The Trough was created to serve the neighborhood. The venue prides itself on being here for neighbors offering versatile space for everything from casual coffee by the fireplace to dinner on the patio to private events and catering.
Dining Experience
The Trough offers variety of lunch and dinner options plus brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The menu features scratch-made favorites including Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese described as the best dish many customers have had Salmon Sandwich perfectly cooked Crispy Steak Fries loaded with toppings and weekend brunch specialties. Everything is prepared fresh with emphasis on quality and flavor.
Atmosphere
The space features cozy indoor seating with fireplace creating warm inviting environment perfect for meeting friends or taking break from work. The beautiful outdoor patio provides al fresco dining during warmer months. The rustic modern design with natural light creates vacation-from-work feeling that keeps customers coming back.
Live Music & Entertainment
The Trough hosts regular Tuesday night open mic series in June featuring Susan Morgan from Anything But Suzy as opening act then welcoming solo or duo performers. All musical acts welcome that maintain relaxed atmosphere. Susan can accompany performers on guitar if needed. The venue also features other live music performances throughout the year with local musicians. Weekly Trivia Tuesday hosted by server Ayden with happy hour prices from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Private Events & Catering
The Trough can accommodate private parties up to 60 people in their beautiful space. Full catering services available for off-site events bringing their quality food to your celebration or gathering.
The Olde Dairy Market
Adjacent to the restaurant The Olde Dairy market offers neighborhood convenience including expanded wine and microbrew selections growing selection of local products like Le Petite breads and pastries Montana Coffee Traders coffee fresh produce organic grocery options and ice cream. The complex also includes functioning gas station making it true one-stop neighborhood hub.

Open Monday through Friday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Saturday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Located at 2106 Clements Road in the Target Range area of Missoula. Family-friendly environment with something for everyone.
