Callaghan's Irish Social Club

Since 1946 Callaghan's Irish Social Club has been a beloved gathering place in Mobile's charming Oakleigh Garden District. Voted America's Best Bar by Esquire Magazine and Best Burger in Alabama by USA Today and Alabama Magazine.

Live Music Heritage

Callaghan's features live music from Wednesday through Sunday nights as well as during brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The venue has no traditional stage just the edge of a room where both legends and locals perform on the same patch of green-and-white tile just feet from the bar.

Historic Venue & Artists

Known as the venue where artists play just before hitting the big time Callaghan's has hosted Jason Isbell Houndmouth Band of Heathens and The Red Clay Strays who became the biggest band out of Mobile since Wet Willie. After Hurricane Katrina musicians from New Orleans began appearing with Grayson Capps performing regularly on Sundays.
