Every Wednesday night Katie's of Smithtown hosts a lively open mic and arts night for local musicians of every style. Hosted by Jackie Goomz sign-ups start at 8:30 PM with music running late into the night.

About Katie's of Smithtown

Katie's of Smithtown is a historic two-floor Irish bar set in one of the oldest standing buildings in Smithtown known locally as Long Island's most famous haunted bar and home to its resident spirit Charlie the Ghost.

Weekly Music Lineup

Live music runs Tuesday Wednesday Friday and Saturday nights. Tuesdays feature a regular solo performer Wednesdays are reserved for the open mic and arts night and Fridays and Saturdays bring full bands to the stage.

The Wednesday Open Mic

Produced in partnership with Equilibrium Booking the Wednesday open mic and arts night showcases original musicians and artists of all kinds. Sign-ups happen in person at 8:30 PM with a house backline of guitar amp bass amp and drum kit ready to go so performers can walk in and play.

Vibe

Regulars describe Katie's as laid back and mellow with dark wood interiors a strong community feel and one of the best sound systems on Long Island. A large outdoor patio and a frequent late-night food truck add to the draw.
