All-Ages Community Arts Space
The Holland Project is a volunteer-driven all-ages community arts venue that has been fostering creativity and inclusivity in Reno since 2007. Located at 140 Vesta Street the project was founded by Britt Curtis inspired by Seattle's VERA Project which itself was modeled after the VERA Club in the Netherlands (Holland). The venue purchased its building through the successful Grounded campaign which raised over $600000 from private contributions allowing the community to own this vital cultural space.
Mission & Programming
The Holland Project serves as a beacon for experimentation and new ideas providing a platform for young artists alternative musicians and creative expression. With a capacity of 150 the intimate venue hosts concerts art galleries workshops craft fairs and monthly open mic nights. The all-genre all-ages open mic organized by Emma Ashley and hosted by Nimbus requires performer sign-ups through the website. Events are free for performers with a $5 door charge for audiences and proceeds often benefit local organizations like Girls Rock Reno.

The venue has become known for showcasing indie rock garage rock alternative punk and experimental music giving touring bands and local artists a welcoming stage. Past performers have included diverse acts across multiple genres creating an eclectic calendar of events.
