About Peoria Center for the Performing Arts
The Peoria Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA) is a 13 million dollar state-of-the-art cultural facility completed in 2007. This 20000-square-foot venue serves as the focal point for the arts in Peoria offering diverse programming and educational opportunities to the community.
Performance Spaces
The center houses a 274-seat main stage auditorium ideal for theatrical productions concerts and presentations. A flexible 60-seat black box theater accommodates smaller productions experimental performances and intimate events. Two classrooms support arts education while an elegant lobby provides welcoming entrance space.
Global Sounds Concert Series
The Global Sounds series brings world music traditions to Peoria audiences. Recent programs have featured West African music from Burkina Faso jazz and blues performances Latin American music Irish rock reggae and Vietnamese dance. Each January through June performances celebrate musical traditions and offer cultural education.
Theater Works Partnership
The City of Peoria partners with Theater Works a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that manages the facility. Theater Works creates engaging theatrical and educational experiences ranging from full productions to community workshops.
Community Access
The venue provides professional technical support including lighting and sound systems for performances. Free and paid events offer accessibility for diverse audiences. The facility regularly hosts community performances recitals and celebrations making it a true cultural center for North Phoenix.
